Sen. Cory Booker tests positive for COVID-19
Sen. Cory Booker announced on social media that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday evening.
He said that he first experienced symptoms on Saturday, which he described as relatively mild.
The senator had received to doses of the COVID-19 and a booster.
Earlier in the day, fellow Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren also confirmed that she was positive for the virus and experiencing mild symptoms.
“Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted,” she wrote, using the occasion to also urge anyone not vaccinated to do so.
