A security guard was stabbed twice at Lit 21 nightclub in Newark during an altercation early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on McCarter Highway.
According to police, the suspect refused to leave the bar, got into a fight with the security guard, and punched him in the face. The suspect then pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the guard twice.
The Newark Police Department is investigating the incident and asking anyone with information to come forward.
