“Unsettled” is the best way to describe the forecast through the weekend and into early next week. The temperatures will be "consistently inconsistent" and with this pesky weather pattern stalled over the region, clouds will be more common with passing showers and storms.
Areas of fog develop tonight through tomorrow morning. Warmer air once again surges northward, and afternoon highs will reach into the 70s on Thursday. Skies will be mainly overcast with passing storms on Thursday evening.
The weather feature is draped across New Jersey on Friday. This will allow more showers and storms to pass through freely, especially in the morning. There could be moments of sunshine later in the day as the front sags south, but those moments will be brief.
The clouds and showers will roll back northward on Saturday into Sunday.
