School buses are back on the road in Neptune Township after a sudden halt earlier this week left families scrambling.
On Monday, parents were notified there would be no buses for dismissal.
Superintendent Dr. Tami Crader says Seman-Tov Bus Company lost its insurance and couldn't operate. "They were able to get some documentation to other school districts but not to us to our specifications until yesterday," Crader said.
The district has now received and verified all required compliance paperwork. State Sen. Vin Gopal has asked the Department of Education to investigate the abrupt cancellation.
News 12 has reached out to Seman-Tov Bus Company for comment but has not received a response. The State Department of Education has also been contacted, but there's been no reply yet.
