The Schick manufacturing location in Milford will close by the end of 2027, a spokesperson from Edgewell Personal Care says.

A spokesperson says the announcement is a part of a broader strategic business decision and the closure will happen in phases.

The closure will result in a loss of 239 jobs.

According to a letter submitted to the Connecticut Department of Labor, some employees will lose their jobs as early as March.

The company says its corporate headquarters will remain in Connecticut and they will continue to be a prominent employer in the state.
