No injuries were reported after a car drove into Aldi in Monroe Saturday.
It happened at 3 p.m. at the location on Monroe Turnpike.
No one was injured but the building sustained significant damage and was closed to customers while engineers conducted a structural assessment Saturday, according to authorities.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Monroe fire and police departments, EMS and fire marshal, as well as the Trumbull Building Department, Monroe Health Department, Monroe First Selectman and a tow operator.
ALDI South Windsor Division Vice President Chris Daniels said in the statement the store has reopened.
Daniels said he and other store officials were grateful no one was seriously injured and thanked first responders for their swift response.
