Rutherford police found a unique way to collect food donations for the town’s food pantry.
The police department created the “Hunger Humvee,” a vehicle designed to take the donations. The vehicle was at the town’s National Night Out event Tuesday evening so that people could bring donations there, too.
Police collected 43 bags of food and hygiene products.
All of the items will be donated to the local food pantry.
