Russia probe continues; decision on Paris Climate Accord looms
President Trump is weighing whether or not to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord all while the probe into alleged ties between his campaign and Russia continues.
The man who was leading the initial investigation into Russia ties is former FBI Director James Comey. He's expected to share with a Senate Intelligence Committee as soon as next week exactly what the president said to him about his investigation into Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser who was forced to resign for lying about meetings with the Russian ambassador. The comments could answer whether or not Trump obstructed justice.
Others who may be subpoenaed about Russia ties include Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen, former campaign advisor Boris Epstein and possibly Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law.
Meanwhile, Trump is expected to make his decision on the Paris Climate Accord Thursday. Trump made a promise during his campaign to get out of the deal that 195 other countries have agreed to in order to fight climate change.
"If he does withdraw, that would be a definitive statement by the president that he believes climate change is a hoax," said Sen. Lindsey Graham. "Stay in the deal, make it a better deal, would be my advice."
President Trump is concerned the Paris Accord creates more regulation and halts job growth in the United States.
