A tractor-trailer fire slowed the commute on Route 1 North in North Brunswick near Walmart early Monday morning.

The fire happened before 5 a.m. and drew multiple first responders. Smoke was seen coming from the cab as water was sprayed to put out the flames.

The tractor trailer was removed by tow truck around 6 a.m.

All lanes were closed at first, but one lane reopened by 5 a.m. All lanes have since reopened

No word yet on injuries to the driver.
