A commercial fishing boat that ran aground off Point Pleasant Beach will remain there for another day.
Rough seas and high winds Thursday prevented a tug boat from working to free the 77-foot Capt. Gavin which ran aground about a mile south of the Manasquan Inlet at around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Nick Ameen says there were three aboard, but no one was injured. Ameen says there is no apparent damage to the vessel and no signs of pollution.
A tug boat is expected to try and free the boat during high tide Friday.
