Roselle police say they are investigating two attempted lurings Thursday.
According to police, one incident involved a 12-year-old girl who was reportedly walking on West Seventh Avenue around 7 a.m. Wednesday when she was approached by a man driving a silver vehicle.
Officials say a white man with a mustache, cleft chin, and faded flower tattoo on his right tricep in his 30s offered the girl a jacket and proceeded to grab her arm in order to pull her in the vehicle. They say she was able to break free and flee.
Police say the second incident took place on the 200 block of East Eighth Avenue. They say a 15-year-old girl was offered a ride by a Hispanic man between the ages of 40 and 50, possibly driving a green Acura.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
