In Rockland, individuals braved icy waters for a noble cause during the annual Penguin Plunge in Nyack.
Held at Memorial Park, this event aimed to raise funds for children battling illnesses, providing support to families struggling with medical expenses.
Organizers expressed their hope of raising at least $137,000 for the year, aiming to surpass $1 million in total donations.
The proceeds from the event will directly benefit at least four families coping with the financial burden of medical bills. These donations will assist children ranging from 3 to 15 years old, offering them much-needed support.
