Neighbors say they were forced to witness a grisly scene for hours after police left a dismembered body in the middle of the street after a car crash Saturday.
A person was killed after his mini-bike crashed into the back of a garbage truck just after 9 a.m. Residents say the body was left uncovered for more than four hours.
Neighbors say there were children playing ball and walking in the area while the body lay in the street. They say the process needs to be changed so children are not exposed such a scene and want to know why the body was removed so long after the crash.
The medical examiner's office says the body should have been covered up, and that doing so would not have compromised the scene, according to an accident spokesperson.
