Fire officials say people living in 18 different apartments in East Orange are now displaced after an overnight fire at 81 North Arlington Ave.
The flames were contained to the unit where the fire began, but billowing smoke has made the rest of the building unlivable for the time being.
The Red Cross is assisting those residents who are currently unable to go back inside.
