Over a dozen residents were displaced after a fire tore through two homes in Bayonne Saturday.
A pair of two-family homes have been deemed unsafe for residents to return to after a quick moving fire tore through one home and then spread to another.
News 12 was told the fire started at a first-floor kitchen just before 11 a.m. at 65 W. 18th St. and spread to the adjacent buildings at 63 and 67 W. 18th St.
News 12 was told 14 residents, including adults and children, were displaced after two of the homes were destroyed.
Residents of 63 W. 18th St. were allowed to return to their homes.
A resident who was displaced says the last thing he saw after grabbing his belongings was his bedroom engulfed in flames.
None of the residents were hurt, but one firefighter was injured while fighting the fire.
