Residents in the area of Pelham Parkway are upset with a new traffic light bringing excess congestion to the area.City officials recently installed the traffic signal at the corner of Stillwell Avenue and Pelham Parkway North. However, nearby lights change at different times, staggering drivers as they drive through the intersection.Some pedestrians say they welcome the light, and that the crosswalks are now safer. Community board members say they agree, but that they worry about traffic backing up into other parts of Pelham Parkway North.The Department of Transportation has yet to comment on the issue.
