Firefighters and rescue crews worked together to save a horse that fell into a gully at its home on Shark River Road in Tinton Falls.
Officials say the horse, named Majik, was lifted out using a special crane.
Responders included teams from Pine Brook, Tinton Falls, the county hazmat unit and the SPCA.
"We have unexpected incidents sometimes. This was one of those. I'm very glad we were able to help. It was definitely a team effort, and we were able to help the horse," Chief Sara Weimer of Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 said.
Majik is now home with his owner and doing fine — bringing a whole new meaning to stable condition.
