Temperatures drop to the upper 70s/low 80s for today and even the 60s/70s for Friday.
There is a COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY in effect for the coastal areas of NJ from Middlesex County down through Cape May County for tonight 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. due to the easterly wind and New Moon. Minor flooding is expected in prone spots.
FORECAST:
The humidity slowly lowers today, making the air feel better. A light easterly wind blows onshore today, making it breezy at the beaches this afternoon after 1 p.m. Temperatures rest in the upper 70s/low 80s through today with sun and clouds. It will be beautiful overall compared to the last few days of very high heat.
A few spot thundershowers are expected through this late afternoon south and west. Each storm will last a short duration of time, likely 45 minutes to an hour at most.
Clouds overcast the sky tonight and it remains cool tomorrow as temperatures stay in the upper 60s and lower 70s. There will be a few scattered rain showers, but nothing significant. It is a cooler day and way more comfortable than how the week started.
The sky clears overnight into Saturday morning with a few rain showers left by 6 a.m. Saturday. Saturday morning will be great, and it turns hot quickly. Highs reach the upper 80s. However, thunderstorms start along the sea breeze after 2 p.m., creating rounds of showers that will chase you off the beach. Monmouth & Ocean counties will be dealing with on and off showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and early evening.
Sunday looks good, too, with a few stray thunderstorms again along the sea breeze, but it should be drier in more places.
