A recent Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll shows Gov. Jon Corzine is shrinking GOP candidate Chris Christie's lead in the gubernatorial race.
The poll, which was conducted between Sept. 8 and Sept. 10, says Christie will receive 47 percent of likely voters and Corzine will receive 39 percent. Five percent of voters backed independent Chris Daggett.
Both Corzine and Christie say they don't put much stock in the polls.
"The only poll that counts is the one on Nov. 3," Corzine said.
