A Raritan Township police officer was almost killed during Wednesday's storm.
Officer Michael Podlaski was checking for stranded drivers on Everitts Road when his patrol car was swept away by flooding.
He tried to get out, but the car filled with water.
The patrol car ended up pinned against a tree.
Podlaski got out through the passenger side window.
No one was hurt in the incident.
