Long Island native Adam Fox was named a finalist for the Norris Trophy, the award handed out to the league's top defenseman.
Fox, originally from Jericho, is the first Rangers defenseman to be nominated for the Norris Trophy since Hall of Famer Brian Leetch. Leetch won the award for a second time in 1996-97.
It is Fox's first time as a Norris finalist.
Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman and Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar are the other two finalists.
