Rain showers will pop up around New Jersey for the rest of Wednesday, along with the potential for severe thunderstorms on Thursday.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Brittany Borer says that heavy rain is expected to start up again during the nighttime hours, which could bring some flooding to the Garden State.
Temperatures overnight will drop into the mid-70s, with scattered thundershowers throughout the overnight hours.
Thursday will start off dry before thunderstorms move into the area. Forecasters say that the storms could become severe with heavy rain and the potential for hail and damaging winds. High temperatures are expected to reach the upper-80s.
Friday is expected to see mostly sunny skies with a high of 87 degrees. Overnight lows will cool into the low-60s.
Borer says that the Labor Day weekend is looking to see mostly sunny and dry weather with temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s.
