Dumpster fire spreads to 2 Haddon Township homes

Crews responded to a reported residential structure fire on the 100 block of East Park Avenue and arrived to find a dumpster burning between two houses, with flames extending to both structures.

Two homes in Haddon Township were badly damaged Tuesday after a dumpster fire spread between the properties.

Crews responded to a reported residential structure fire on the 100 block of East Park Avenue and arrived to find a dumpster burning between two houses, with flames extending to both structures.

Photos from the scene showed heavy flames coming from the dumpster before reaching the homes. Officials have not said whether anyone was injured.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Haddon Township Fire Marshal’s Office and the Haddon Township Bureau of Fire Prevention are investigating.
