Record rain in June kept many beachgoers away from the coast Saturday, but a few people decided to pack ponchos and head to the shore anyway.
One woman headed to the Jersey Shore Friday hoping for a nice weekend, but the rainy weather met them instead.
Despite Mother Nature letting everyone down, most chose to hit other attractions in the area like the arcade and aquarium, which both saw an increase in attendance.
In Newark, June rains measured in at 5.8 inches, 3.6 inches more than normal.
