Police in Rahway are alerting residents about an increase in residential burglaries and thefts of high-end vehicles.

Authorities say criminals are targeting homes to steal vehicle fobs, with a noted uptick in coordinated theft groups.
Police are reminding residents to bolster home and vehicle security:
  • Secure doors and windows
  • Install alarms
  • Keep valuables (including keys) out of view
  • Report any suspicious behavior immediately to help prevent further incidents
