A rabid raccoon was found at a South Brunswick dog park.
The raccoon was traced to the Rock Top Dog Park after the animal came in contact with pet dogs on Dec. 29.
The raccoon was tested and found to be positive for rabies.
People who use the dog park and neighbors are asked to be aware of any wildlife in the area.
If your pet comes in contact with a wild animal, you are asked to call South Brunswick police and request assistance from an animal control officer.
