A QuickChek store in Sayreville is showing its appreciation to firefighters who responded to a fire in a strip mall where the store is located.
The QuickChek store on Main Street is among the first of the businesses that have reopened after a February fire destroyed several stores in the strip mall.
The store says it will donate 25 cents to the fire department for every sub sold for the next month.
Officials say the fire began at an Italian restaurant in the center of the strip mall. No one was injured in the blaze.
