More than a dozen artists from around the world painted 14 works of art on the 30-foot high exterior wall of the Fairmount Heights switching station in Newark.
The murals were painted as part of a compromise with residents who were worried the 8-acre site would be an eyesore.
PSEG officials say the $227 million switching station was built following Superstorm Sandy to prevent a storm from taking out power in Newark again.
