A man from California is facing charges after being accused of luring women into expensive restaurants and then leaving when the bill comes.
Paul Gonzales is known as the "dine and dash dater."
In court this week, many women say after the meal came, where Gonzales talked and ate fast, he said he needed to take a call from his kids.
He then took off.
According to prosecutors, from May 2016 to April of this year, Gonzales met at least 10 women on dating sites and left them with the bills.
Prosecutors say that’s extortion.
If convicted, Gonzales faces more than 16 years in prison.
