A woman was found dead after a fire broke out inside of an Aberdeen apartment complex.
The fire started inside an apartment building on Aberdeen Road in Aberdeen around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Flames and smoke could be seen pouring out of the building while crews tried to extinguish the flames.
Residents tell News 12 that at least four apartments were impacted and that several people have been displaced. The American Red Cross was helping at least 11 people who were displaced.
Aberdeen Road was closed for a time while crews were on the scene.
It was not currently clear how the fire started. The name of the woman found dead was not yet released.
