Prosecutor: Staten Island woman accused of drunk driving in deadly Jersey City crash

Police say Amanda Rivera, of Staten Island, was driving under the influence with two other women in her car during the Feb. 3 crash. One of the women died.

A driver was charged in a deadly crash in Jersey City last month.

The crash happened on Feb. 3 on Route 185 near the Linden Avenue East intersection.

Police say Amanda Rivera, of Staten Island, was driving under the influence with two other women in her car when she crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer. Officials say the backseat passenger, identified as 31-year-old Stephanie Weymouth, died at the scene.

Rivera and the other woman were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Rivera faces several charges related to the crash, including aggravated manslaughter.
