A 31-year-old woman from Bayonne was killed and two others were injured in Jersey City after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Saturday, according to Hudson County prosecutors.

It happened on Route 185 near the Linden Avenue East intersection. Officials say a 2019 Nissan passenger vehicle collided with the rear of a parked and unoccupied tractor-trailer.

Officials say the three women were taken to Jersey City Medical Center where one of the passengers, Stephanie Weymouth, died.

They say a 28-year-old driver of Staten Island and a 27-year-old passenger of Old Bridge were treated with non-life-threatening injuries and released.
