Authorities are investigating a police shooting that left a person injured in northern New Jersey.
The Passaic County prosecutor's office says the shooting took place after 2 a.m. Tuesday in the Rainbow Lake section of Wanaque.
According to the prosecutor's office, the police-involved shooting resulted in injuries to a "civilian involved in a domestic violence dispute."
Officials have not released the name of the person, the extent of the injuries and details about what happened.
Officials say the scene is secured and the investigation is ongoing.
