A person was found dead in a Midland Park home following a fire, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities say that the fire started around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Franklin Avenue. The person was found dead on the first floor of the home, the prosecutor says.

Officials also say that other people who were inside of the home at the time were taken to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
