Prosecutor: Mother charged in death of infant left inside car in East Hanover

Officials say Livia Patelli, of Roseland, left the baby unattended inside of the vehicles in a parking lot off Route 10.

A 33-year-old woman is facing charges for allegedly leaving her 6-month-old daughter inside a vehicle in East Hanover, leading to the infant’s death on July 17.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office says Livia Patelli, of Roseland, left the baby unattended inside of the vehicles in a parking lot off Route 10. The child was left inside the car for more than four hours, according to officials.
Temperatures were in the low- to mid-90s in Morris County on the day of the baby’s death.
Patelli was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
