Prosecutor: Man wanted in fatal shooting at Long Branch train station arrested in Pennsylvania

A man wanted for a deadly shooting at the Long Branch train station was arrested Thursday in Pennsylvania, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Damian Bass, 19, is accused of shooting 43-year-old James Hailey around 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 26.
Officials say Bass was arrested in the Effort section of Chestnuthill Township, Pennsylvania. He was charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses.
Bass is in custody in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
