A man was fatally shot on the platform of New Jersey Transit’s Long Branch Train Station, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say the shooting took place Monday just after 7:30 p.m. The man was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The victim’s name was not released.
No arrests have been made.
The prosecutor is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Aaron Shaw at 1-800-533-7443.
