Probe into Fetty Wap video shoot in Paterson faults Eastside High School principal
An investigation into how rapper Fetty Wap was allowed to record a music video that included drug references and a pole dancer in his old Paterson high school has concluded that the school's principal was solely responsible and should be disciplined.
Zatiti Moody was put on administrative leave in June after school officials began looking into the video filmed at Eastside High School.
District officials had a law firm investigate the matter, and NJ.com obtained a copy of the report through a public records request.
The investigation found that Moody didn't follow all the requirements of the board's policies and regulations. It recommends that the district's superintendent impose "appropriate discipline."
A spokesperson for the school district says that the district cannot discuss the specifics of personnel matters.
Spokesperson Terry Corallo says in a statement, "The superintendent has great confidence in Mr. Moody as principal of operations at Eastside and looks forward to his return to continue the positive work that has occurred over the past six years."
Soon after the controversy about the video came to light, Fetty Wap attended a meeting to apologize and offer his support for Moody.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
