Air Canada passenger Rebecca Liquori was aboard the plane that collided with a fire truck Sunday at LaGuardia Airport.

The crash on the runway left the pilot and copilot dead. Several others were also badly injured, according to officials.

Liquori joined News 12 and discussed the moments leading up to the incident.

“As we were descending, we hit a lot of turbulence,” she explained. “Then we landed very roughly… Everyone felt it. It was like the plane jolted and you heard the pilot try to brake trying to prevent the collision.”

“As you heard the brake, a couple seconds later it was just a very loud boom!” she said. “Everybody jolted out of their seats.”
