Hearings are well underway in the Legislature -- lawmakers charged with hashing out how best to spend your hard-earned tax dollars are meeting every week to meet the budget deadline by the end of June. Two Senate Budget Committee members -- Democrat Pat Diegnan and Republican Sam Thomson - join Eric Landskroner for a status report.
This week Gov. Murphy signed a law that in essence allows towns to accept charitable donations in lieu of property taxes, all to fight back against the federal tax overhaul. NJ Spotlight reporter John Reitmeyer explains how it works.
