Commuters in Kenilworth will have problems on Wednesday following a water main break.
A stretch of Kenilworth Boulevard remains closed resulting from a water main
break on Tuesday that caused the road to buckle, leaving a gaping hole in the middle of the normally busy roadway.
Residents told News 12 they heard a loud bang as the break began.
No information on what caused the break, but the road is known to have old pipes. Officials said no injuries or evacuations were reported.
Cranford police added Springfield Road to north 8th Street in Kenilworth is closed. and that NJ American Water approximates that the repairs may take in excess of 24 hours.
