A mother from Whippany has been accused of driving while intoxicated with her kids in the car.

It happened Saturday around 4:40 p.m. on Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park.

According to police, Elizabeth Featherston, 32, was in and out of consciousness when they started questioning her.

Police say they found an empty wine bottle in the car and detected the smell of alcohol on her breath.

The children were not hurt.

Featherston was charged with driving while intoxicated and child neglect.
