Police in Hackettstown say an 82-year-old woman received an email from someone she believed was from Apple, Inc., charging her for an online game she never purchased.

Police in Hackettstown say an 82-year-old woman received an email from someone she believed was from Apple, Inc., charging her for an online game she never purchased.
According to police, scammers had the woman buy more than $4,000 in gift cards to settle her fake debt.
Police are reminding people that gift cards are meant for gifts, not payment.
Police urge anyone who believes they're being scammed to file a complaint here.
