Oakland police warn residents about a fake COVID-19 test scam.
While waiting for test results at a local business, multiple victims say two male suspects offered them tests to speed up the waiting process. After the victims received what they believed to be a COVID-19 test, they provided the men with their personal identifying information.

At the facility, the suspects were wearing lab coats and claiming to work there. Once police arrived on the scene, the offenders left.
Police say to be aware of this scam and others to collect personal information.  
Currently, this is under investigation by the Oakland police.
