Police say a driver who was unconscious was rescued from a burning car in Atlantic City early Saturday morning.
They say they responded to a two-car crash around 3:45 a.m. on Route 30. Officials say that the car on fire, a Hyundai Elantra, was driving eastbound when it drove onto an embankment.
The car went flying, causing it to strike concrete pillars and a utility pole before it reentered the roadway and hit another car, officials say.
When officers got to the scene, they found a 29-year-old man sitting in the driver's seat as the car became engulfed in flames.
The officers and EMTs were able to rescue the man, officials say.
