Police in Galloway Township say two 16-year-old students have been arrested for posting a threat against a school on social media.
Police were made aware of concerning social media posts against Absegami High School Thursday around 6:30 a.m.
According to police, the student who created the post was arrested before getting to school.
Police say the other student was taken out of class.
Neither had any weapons on them – and there was no physical threat to the school grounds.
Both were charged with creating a false public alarm and released to their parents, pending juvenile court proceedings.

Police credit the community for alerting them about the threat.
