Jorge Carcamo, of Deer Park, says he and his family are thankful to be alive after police say a stolen Jeep crashed into their home Friday night.
"I am thankful to God," explained Carcamo.
Suffolk Police says a driver of the stolen vehicle crashed into Carcamo's home at the intersection of Floyd Street and Bay Shore Road just before 10 p.m.
"I saw people running from the vehicle into the street," Carcamo added.
Neighbor Valarria Williams said there was a massive police presence.
"Police were everywhere. I came outside and they told me to [go] back into my house. They brought the helicopters out, it was insane." added Williams.
Carcamo said there were five people inside the house, including two young children, when the crash took place.
No one was hurt in the home.
Authorities were searching for the driver and no arrests had been made as of Saturday evening.
