Officials are searching for the driver who struck two people and took off.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on E Street near 15th Avenue in Belmar.
Police say a silver Cadillac Escalade fled the scene.
A man and woman were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
