Police search for missing Hazlet boy believed to be in New York City

The last contact with Damien Thompson was made on Sunday at 1:45 a.m. when he called his mother, police say.

Hazlet police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing minor.

Officials say Damien Thompson ran away Saturday from his residence in town. They believe he may have taken a train by himself to New York City.

The last contact with Thompson was made Sunday at 1:45 a.m. when he called his mother, police say. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and cargo pants. Officials say he has been known to wear a black ski mask as well.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hazlet Township Police Department at 732-264-6565.
