A school bus carrying several children crashed and overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike late Friday morning.
New Jersey State Police say that no serious injuries have been reported.
State police say no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred around 11:40 a.m. in Cherry Hill. The bus ended up on its side on the shoulder of the roadway.
Roughly 30 people were aboard the bus. Officials from the Boys and Girls Club of Union County tell News 12 New Jersey that the bus was carrying a group of their kids. The bus was on its way to the Camden Aquarium for a field trip.
Several children were treated for minor injuries at Cooper University Hospital.
A second bus from the Boys and Girls Club turned around and went back to Plainfield after the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
This is the third school bus crash in New Jersey recently.
A school bus from Brooklyn overturned on the Turnpike in Elizabeth earlier this month. Students were on their way home from a field trip when the bus crashed near the Goethals Bridge. Four students and an adult were treated for injuries.
A fifth-grader and a teacher were killed and over 40 others injured in a school bus crash on Interstate-80 in Mount Olive in May. The bus driver faces death by auto charges in that crash.
